Though a novel is a work of art imagined in mysterious ways, largely untouched and unscathed by commercialism, it doesn’t hurt to begin with a plan or to know how best to pitch your story to an agent or editor. In this class we will consider a number of innovative and practical strategies for writing a novel. After we have considered how best to begin writing our novel, we will develop a synopsis that will serve as a guide for our writing and which eventually may be used to attract agents and editors. This class is open to anyone at the beginning or advanced stages of writing a novel.
