We invite you to join us for an evening of spellbinding enchantment at the Writespace Fantasy Book Ball, a gala designed for readers, dreamers, and lovers of the fantastical. This is your chance to mingle with fellow bibliophiles dressed as characters from beloved fantasy novels or adorned in your most magical attire.
Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by the sight of the magical night court located at Houston's own Sabine Street art studios, transformed for one night only.

Hexpartner is a classically trained musician and dungeon synth composer based in Austin, TX. They create high fantasy soundscapes utilizing synthesizers, string instruments, and layered vocals reminiscent of Dead Can Dance and 12th century abbess Hildegard von Bingen.

Taft McWhorter
Live Painting! Taft is one of the most widely collected artists in Houston with over 800 collectors. He was one of the Top 10 Artists in Houston in 2014 by the Houston Press and one of Houston’s 40 Most Fascinating People by the Houston Chronicle in 2015. Taft and wife Dana, have raised just shy of 1 million dollars by donating artwork. In 2022, the art couple published an art book titled “50 Artists Houston” offering a timestamp of the Houston art community and are currently working on the 2nd edition due to launch in 2025. |
